A great man has passed. I raise a toast to the memory of Michael Jackson, beer connoisseur.

  • One of my Portland beer drinking highlights was way back in 97 (I *think* - give or take a year). I volunteered at the brewfest and got stuck serving the chile-pepper beer. But I got to pour *the* Michael Jackson a sample and I read later that he rated it one of the best "varietals" at the brewfest that year. Of course I had nothing to do with the brewery, but I took a bit of pride in that!
