It seems a bit unfair to let anyone follow the Jesus Lizard, let alone the noodling Built to Spill. Given the “Write the Night” theme, it was surprising to see that the audience preferred to hear material from the band’s jam-band repertoire rather than the more straightforward indie pop of There’s Nothing Wrong with Love and Keep It Like a Secret.

that is another interesting part of this...the work-life boundary is blurring. For some, it's been ongoing. I've been oncall for ten years now, I can work from anywhere I can get online, and a lot of my work can be done anytime. Jobs are changing.

While the use of e-mail in the workplace is overused to the point of inefficiency, I don't know of any other medium that allows for the easy dissemination of information that can be accessed at the recipeint's convenience. I am able to keep up to date on multiple issues during hours that are convenient to me. Young people (Oh God, I thought I was young people) don't use e-mail becuase they are available to be interrupted at all hours of the day.
