Broom freakin ball

It’s a new era for broomball. Vancouver is no longer an option, they’ve been bought out by the religious right. And that leads to no good, do-gooders.

Super-villains once again have the streets of Portland in a stranglehold, Beefy McCheese in one hand, and a whole stinking street in the other. It’s up to us, as the decent citizens of Portland to uphold right and wrong, to take out beliefs by the wrists and ankles and throw them into the air, hoisting them upon our proud shoulders, and shout to the super-villains: “We aren’t going to take it!” And this time we mean it.

We’re going to stand up, and even if we feel bad about it, We Will Brandish our middle fingers to the super-villains. We will draw a line in the sand, point to it, and say, “Do not cross this line in the sand bad guys.”

But first we’re going to play some broom freakin’ ball. And before that we’re going to drink some goddamn beer. That’s right, we’re going to pour some beer in a cup, and then we’re gonna put that beer right into us. In the name of all that is decent, we’re gonna put that beer in us, then go to an ice rink and run around like a bunch of crazed fools trying to knock a ridiculous ball into a net with some crappy brooms. And then we’ll drink some more beer. So screw you freedom haters.

So here’s the deal:
Rezinas House. 4835 NE 40th Ave (just south of alberta ct.)
Saturday 11/03/07
Due to “activities” the party starts early: 7pm
Be here by eight to get a good warm-up in
We’ll keep going as long as the beer tastes good
Friends are ok.

We ask you kick in $10/head to help with rink costs (but nobody is turned away). It’s so worth it.

Bonus points if you dress like a super-hero so we can laugh “with” you.
