Burning ISO CDs and DVDs
Because I always forget and freak out that I’m gonna create a coaster:
How to burn ISO disc images
1. Insert a blank disc.
2. Start Disk Utility.
3. From the File menu, choose Open Disk Image and select the ISO to be burned.
4. In the list of volumes, you will now see an item representing the ISO file. Select it.
5. Click the Burn button and follow the instructions.
From Mac OS X Hints
Force eject cdrom or dvd from the command line and other os x disk utilities
drutil eject
I had a stuck dvd and it kept trying to turtle out, but just couldn’t get far enough. On the MacBook pro I used my licensed to loosen up the disk gasket a bit, and ran the eject option a few times. Didn’t sound like the motor was loving it very much though.
